Exercise and Dance Provision

The below resources are of organisations providing movement and dance classes and courses for people with cancer. 

Move Dance Feel

Move Dance Feel is a creative community for women affected by cancer. They offer free weekly online dance sessions, in-person retreats and weekenders, and opportunities to dance together. Led by professionals, their sessions support wellbeing, connection and self-expression.

Yoga For Cancer with Vicky Fox

Whether you are a long time cancer survivor or currently in treatment, Vicky's yoga classes focus on making you feel more grounded and comfortable in your changing or changed body, through the use of postures that safely stretch, strengthen, and relax the body. A small class size ensures plenty of personal attention and guidance on suitable variations. The class is also open to those caring for a family member or a friend.

Get Me Back with Sarah Newman

Get Me Back aims to provide clear and specialist advice on fitness and nutrition after cancer. They also offer a positive place for women to share experiences, regain body confidence and strength, knowing they're in safe hands.

CanRehab

CanRehab’s network of CanRehab Specialist Instructors are qualified to work with people affected by cancer. If you are looking to connect with a personal trainer, they have created a map by which you can search for someone who is qualified in Cancer and Exercise Rehabilitation. They also offer exercise based retreats.

CanRehab provides a Level 4 qualification course to become a Cancer Specialist Instructor in Cancer and Exercise Rehabilitation. On successful completion of the assessment of the CanRehab Specialist Instructor in Cancer & Exercise Rehabilitation and with the correct professional fitness qualifications, you will be a recognised specialist exercise instructor in cancer rehabilitation.

The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity offers resources for doing exercise at home.​

After a cancer diagnosis, many people find that following a healthy, balanced diet and staying active helps give them back a sense of control. MacMillan provide resources for nutrition and exercise advice, as well as providing a Wellbeing Support Hub.
